With a history stretching back to the 1980s, Amsterdam brand Scotch & Soda was dynamically relaunched in 2001. Classic in many ways, Scotch and Soda are nevertheless young and forward-thinking when it comes to putting great new clothes into the market place. The designers and manufacturers at the company spare no expense or effort when it comes to detailing and finishing. Their women’s line Maison Scotch offers exactly the same classic-but-contemporary feel and level of attention to detail.
It’s 1972 when Maurizio and Isabella open one of the very first denim factories in Italy. In Urbania; later known as La valle dei jeans or The valley of jeans, Maurizio’s passion for craftsmanship and beautiful jeans comes to life. Besides producing jeans for well-known brands, Maurizio decides to set up his own label and names it after the love of his life, Isabella Garcia.
The brand’s history began over a hundred years ago in the Tuscan village of Certaldo. In 1899, Luca and Lorenzo Manzini took over their father’s manufactory for men’s underwear – the beginning of an incomparable success story. Soon, the brothers sewed their first men’s shirts, and the name Certaldo became a trademark for style and quality and a symbol of italian clothing culture
